Dental Implant Procedure

Initial Evaluation:

• After a thorough medical & dental history and consent are recorded. Complete clinical evaluation, including X-rays/CBCT and teeth models are made to ensure the dental implants will closely match your natural teeth.
• After evaluation and proper planning, we will explain and discuss all possible options with you, and based on your choices we proceed further.

• A minor surgical procedure to have the dental implant put in your jawbone is performed under local anesthesia.

Prosthesis (Crown/ Bridge) Placement:

• Immediate loading or delayed loading of the prosthesis is planned based on a lot of factors including: your age, your underlying medical conditions, healing ability, local area infections, bone loss and regenerative therapies like bone grafting and membranes placed (if any) etc.
• Immediate loading: We record the impressions and send them to the lab to process the prosthesis.
• Delayed loading: We wait for a few weeks while the bone grows around the dental implant and it integrates (osseointegrates) completely.
• Finally, the artificial tooth (crown) or teeth (bridge) are screwed or cemented into the implant foundation
